Hello 1234. I went to Lanzarote last November. I was in between chemo and radiotherapy. I have a PICC line and I am on Herceptin and Zoladex. I get free travel insurance as part of my bank account package. I contacted the bank insurers and was able to upgrade my cover to include BC. I made them aware of the ongoing treatment & PICC line. They were happy to upgrade me. It cost me an additional £90 for a year's cover for the whole family.
Hope this helps,

I travelled several times while having Herceptin (but not with a PICC line). Travel insurance was fine, although I alwasy tried several companies as the quotes vary a lot. One of the questions is - are you having any tablet treatment or Herceptin, a question which comes after those about surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. So even now, 5 years after diagnosis I have to give the same answer, as I am on Exemestane - and will be for another 3 years apparently.
Good luck
Anne
Hello,
Has anybody tried to get travel insurance having had surgery/chemo/rads but still to finish herceptin and with a PIC still in place?? Some insurance companies say after 1 month when treatment completed does that mean everything???
Thanks
