Re: triple neg, scared and angry

Hi there, hope noone minds me joining in. Was diagnosed in may with left breast triple neg 15mm and right breast oestrogen positive 16mm no lymph node. Am in middle of chemo as told only treatment for tn was chemo! It's amazing how everywhere seems to treat with different treatments!! Just makes me wonder where they get there statistics from and how they make their decisions on best possible treatment. Obv interested in talking to you JLL as am so pleased that I don't feel so special I. Having two different cancers acting differently!! I've got to have tamoxifen also and I guess you will have herceptin!! Good to talk to anybody with all this rubbish. Much support and love on these sites good luck to all xxx

Re: triple neg, scared and angry

Hi j,jL thanks for reply. It did get a bit itchy and sore in that area but I thought it might have been my bra irritating it. I seen my oncologist on Wednesday and he said it would not have made a difference as it was vascular invasive chemo was necessary, he has not offered me more chemo as it would not benefit me because the tumour has been removed now with the breast and there was no more in the breast. I will have radiotherapy and then a ct scan in 3 months. What alternative therapy are you having. If you don't mind me asking. X

Re: triple neg, scared and angry

I can certainly understand. I'm curious was there any itchiness near site, second tumor? And what are they recommending now? I was diagnosed in feb this year. Left breast TN and right Breast her2 positive. Stage 2,negative lymph nodes. Opt out of rad and chemo. Had bilateral mastectomy-no regrets. Had to listen to my heart and body. Made some life style changes and doing non-invasive therapy.

triple neg, scared and angry

i was diagnosed with triple negative August 2014 1 positive node. I had lumpectomy 8 rounds of chemo and started radiotherapy (had 6) when a small lump appeared in dec 2014 I had only had 2 chemos by then. I showed my onc he was not concerned as it was where I had fluid drained and thought it was just where the scar tissue was. To cut a long story short, they decided to stop my radiotherapy and do a biopsy and it was back triple neg again! No option I had to have mastectomy. I'm really scared and angry that I'd almost finished my treatment that clearly didn't work. If I'd had the biopsy in dec they would have known and changed the plan. Anyone else had similar?
