I'm new to the forum but thought I'd post a reply to your post. It sounds like you've had a bit of a shock when you went to your GP, but she's clearly a good GP if she found another lump, so you should be able to take your concerns back to her if you're feeling very worried - hugs from me though!

An urgent referral means you should be seen by a specialist clinic within two weeks from when your doctor referred you, so I hope your appointment is very soon as the wait can be agonising. At the appointment they'll examine you again and do either an ultrasound scan or a mammogram, and they might want to take a sample from the lump too. Often times you will have a fair idea from the clinic what you should expect from your results, but waiting for the results can be really nerve wracking.

Try to look for the positives at the moment as there's a chance your GP is wrong and you may have a benign condition. I think there are some pages on this site dedicated to younger ladies like yourself who have children to think of, so they might be helpful if you haven't looked there yet?

Hi gamble and welcome to the forum.

You are going through the worst part which is waiting for the next appointment. It is really hard as you start imagining the worst, and you are probably worrying about the impact this might have on your children.

This is totally natural and you will not be thinking any differently to those of us that are waiting for further appointments/results. You are in the best place for support, and remember that 8 out of 10 lumps turn out to be benign.

Sending you hugs, as I am also on the waiting game at the moment, so can't really offer any advice other than you did the right thing in getting it checked.

I went to the doctors on Thursday for some lumps I found on my left boob.the doctor check it and said they were little cyts nothing to worry about. Then she checked my right one she wasproding around for about 5 miminutes. She said I'm very concerned about this lump as it's not moving I'm going to put u as ergent. So I have my appointment tomorrow at 7 pm. I've bin before 11 years ago and had a cyts they drained it .but this feels very different .I'm 35 years old with 5 wonderful children youngest girl who will be 1 a week on Monday .I have never bin so scared as this lump I thought was just a lumpe rib and she said no I can assure u not .so this has bin here since last October .
