A number of women diagnosed with breast cancer wonder about complementary therapies, possible benefits after a breast cancer diagnosis and whether they ar.... Essential oils can be used in several ways. They can be mixed with a base oil to be used in massage, added to a bath, inhaled, evaporated using an oil diffuser or blended with a lotion to be applied to the skin.
Some people think that certain oils can be harmful when you have breast cancer. There is little reliable evidence about this, but talk to your GP, pharmacist or specialist team if you’re concerned.
You can search here for information about individual herbs and vitamins. Each has sections on existing evidence and what known interaction there is with other medications. There is a consumer version or a health professional link for more details.

Is it safe to use essential oils if you have ER positive breast cancer and are taking anastrozole. I have read that some oils can make the body produce oestrogen which obviously is not good. Many thanks Rose
