Re: Radiation for metastatic pain

Hello deamo5339

Thanks for your further post.

You may find it helpful to call us to talk through anything. As mentioned, the number is 0808 800 6000.

It's not possible to give radiotherapy treatment indefinitely. Hopefully, you will be able to talk to someone in your treatment team about all your symptoms. They can explain how the pain in your hip will be treated. You may find helpful to have a referral to a nurse specialist for symptom control.

Do feel free to call we are here until 4pm today and each day until Friday when we close at 12:30

Best wishes

Jane

Radiation for metastatic pain

I am going to have radiation on my very painful shoulders soon. Do they just keep on using radiation for pain whenever/wherever you have it? I ask because I am now getting left hip pain. I looked at my bone scan and it says I have mets there also.
