Thanks for your post.
It’s understandable that you’re worried about cancer returning, given your experience previously.
It’s a natural reaction to be anxious about your scan on Thursday. Maybe you could see your GP to get something to help you relax.
You could speak to your breast care nurse (if you have one) to ask if she can see you before your scan and talk through your concerns.
NHS Choices have some useful information about coping in stressful situations.
Breast Cancer Care offer a variety of services to support you. Moving Forward courses are designed to help you adjust to life after your treatment has finished.
To discuss this or to talk things through, you’re welcome to call our free, confidential Helpline. The number is 0808 800 6000.
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.
We are currently reviewing our Forum service and wonder if you would have five to 10 minutes to complete a short survey. The survey will help us gather information about this service and understand more about any improvements we can make.
