Re: Lumps after surgery

Hi Ljhiggins

Thanks for posting.

As your operation was very recent and wounds take a number of months to settle down it’s unsurprising you have changes taking place while it is healing.

However, it’s important to check if your wounds are healing normally. You could contact your breast care nurse or surgeon for them to assess this properly. They may also be able to recommend some different pain relief which is more effective.

Breast Cancer Now offer a variety of services to support you now or in the future.

You’re also free to call our free, confidential Helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. The number is 0808 800 6000.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.

Best wishes

Addie

Lumps after surgery

Hi

I'm new to forum. Had lumpasectomy on right breast plus 3 lymph nodes on 25 October.  Dressing taken off week later. All looked dry and ok but since they have been taken off I am feeling painful lumps under both scars.  I'm on pain killers still and cannot wear bra at moment. Is there something wrong? Should these lumps hurt like they do? Skin seems very  sore to touch too. I'm moisturizing daily but worried something isn't right?
