As we’re a breast cancer charity, we’re not specifically knowledgeable about vaginal health unless it is related to the side effects of breast cancer treatment, so are unable to provide you with any information. You may wish to contact the Ask Eve information service who may be able to do this as they specialise in gynaecological health information.
However, if you are worried about any new symptom you discover anywhere in the body, we would always suggest that you make an appointment with your GP or local sexual health clinic to get it checked out.
Do call our Helpline if you would like to talk this reply through or have any further questions. Your call will be confidential, and the number is free from UK landlines and all mobile networks.
The number is 0808 800 6000 (Text relay prefix 18001).
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.
Hello everyone. I know this is a breast cancer site but i stumbled upon it through another post about similar symptoms I'm having.
A few years ago i went to the doc about some lumps in my breast. They weren't too concerned but recommended i follow up every six months. Nothing has changed. Speed up a few years and I've had weird symptoms like swollen nodes (had an ultrasound but they weren't large enough for concern although there were four)
Now, a couple of days ago I went to look down below to see if I had torn when my spouse and I had intercourse. I immediately noticed a BLACK SPOT on the inside of my vagina. Right where you would tear during intercourse. Over the last few days I've kept an eye out and nothing has changed. Of course I've gotten on Google and now I'm terrified. Could just be vaginal melanosis....I dont know, I'm sorry to be here but I'm scared. I'm 31 and have 2 Young boys.
