Re: breast lump

Hi andy37

Thanks for posting.

Breast changes including lumps can happen for many reasons and most will be due to a benign (not cancer) condition. It’s not possible to say what your lump is due to but as mini mad and Seabreeze have said it’s important to get this checked.

You can make an appointment with your GP who will examine you and decide what investigations or treatment may be helpful. Your GP can also refer you to a breast clinic for further checks if necessary.

Do call our free, confidential Helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. The number is 0808 800 6000.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.

Best wishes

Eve

Re: breast lump

Ditto mini mad's comment....

Andy37 - please go and see your doctor....if it is a cyst it clearly needs sorting and if it's something else you need to find out asap.

breast lump

had lump in breast 4 nearly a year , 2 inches above nipple. Started with solid white discharge and then clear fluid , now with blood. Hasn't changed appearance or size. Looks and feels like boil on top of skin. Is this a Cyst ?
