As Helena says, LP. It just means it’s given as an addition to help prevent recurrence, rather than to treat something which is already there.

I am presuming you have had your op and that you are going to be having radiotherapy which is an adjuvant therapy, basically it is a treatment following your op to lower the risk of it returning, also I think hormone blocking tablets are classed as an adjuvant therapy  It would really help if they "spoke" in laymans terms.  I would just give your bcn a call to clarify it all for you

I've received a letter to say this was my course of radiotherapy treatment but I don't understand what it means. I know what treatment I've had but no ideawhat "adjuvant" means.

 

Anyone help me out
