Any rads girls that don't know you can go on the look good feel better course, it's free and you get a goody bag full of high end make up products worth about £250-300. If you call into a local cancer charity centre or google look good feel better they can tell you when and where your nearest one is.

My slot has been brought forward today, normally I am 1.45 but have the be there for 10 today so I can have Physio afterwards. The snow is pretty think here so better leave in plenty of time. On the plus side it’s my birthday today so at least I will be home earlier to enjoy the rest of the day. Hope everyone is ok and manages to get to their appointments today. Drive/walk safely ladies xx

Morning ladies! Gosh Roma I thought my appointments were late but I think you beat me. Snow here too and it's snowing again. Hope everyone gets to rads ok. Loving the tunes this morning. They nearly always draw round my tattoos too I think it's because they are so tiny it helps to see them better. 🕺🏻💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻This morning in my makeshift kitchen. I'm working from home today in between trips to the hospital and OH reckons they might have the heating off today 😱😨so I'm hoping they don't have the electric off too and I can hole up in my little room with an oil filled radiator.

Not long been home from night rads and giving it an aIring before bed.  It's snowing here so hopefully will be able to get there tomorrow.  They draw on me every time I think they are doing dot to dot.  Will get them a book if they want something interesting to create! 😂😂

Yes I get inked too but that's because my tattoos are almost invisible! I'm glad about that! Can't say I've ever had an x Ray though? Think they raise the bed for measuring so it's easier for them. They always say there is good coverage whatever that means!!

Yeah sometimes they draw on me....sometimes I got up high....sometimes they X-ray....you never know what surprises are in store lol 😂

No me neither. They had trouble again lining me up today but no X-ray. They lined me up went out and came back in saying they weren't happy. I'm not convinced about them calculating those numbers either as some of them early don't seem confident and I'm not sure what that's all about either! 😕

No spots under my arm for me Karen. I'd ask about it. They'll probably tell you to keep an eye on it 😂That's what they always say to me. It is strange how they all do it differently. They use the gown to cover my good boob, I'm not bothered about modesty I just welcome anything to keep me a bit warmer😂

Rads No9 went smoothly...found out that in the cafe at hospital the coffees are all 90p before 9am so wandered round and got myself a nice cappuccino to drink afterwards....think I might do that everyday!  

Just having some boob time...got 1 boob lobbed out of my vest top..it’s a bit chilly!  Have noticed I’ve got a few lumps under my arm...more like spots...anyone else had this?  Will point them out tomorrow!  Hopefully I can get there ok...they forecasting really bad weather tomorrow...we’ve had a dusting of snow but nothing substantial!!

I’m lucky that I can just take off top half in the room and leave clothes on a chair in the corner then get dressed and leave, I just got given a sheet of the paper they line the bed with to put over me not sure what the point of that was. She said to preserve my modesty but most of the time everything is on display so it seemed a bit silly

They don't provide gowns at my hospital - I have to strip off my top half. 

Lining me up is still an ongoing issue and today they got my oncologist to come and check as they weren't happy. Apparently the area that needs zapping is too tight to line up but the oncologist said it would be ok.

I have my CT planning session for the boosts tomorrow as well as my 12th rad session so its going to be a long day....

Just on my way back from no 11! I'm now down to single figures hoorah! Boob seems to be ok, there's a slight colour difference but not too bad at the moment. The weekend definitely seems to settle it down a bit. They've pulled my appts for the next few days forward to mid afternoon which totally messes up work but I don't care. I'd rather get to rads and back safely.

It is difficult to get used to not doing anything and letting them position you, I was amazed how they just touched you in a certain place and that would be enough for you to be correctly positioned.  You do get used to just sinking into the bed and allowing them to do what they need to.

Due to start my radiotherapy this Wednesday, getting a little concerned with all the reports of snow as my first appt is at a hospital 26 miles away -sadly not within walking distance! Thankfully all other appts will be somewhere a little closer. Feels like I have been waiting so long to get this started ...go away snow!

First one done ✅ for me, not too bad, had to concentrate on relaxing because they struggled a bit to get me lined up at first because I was tense. Trying to remember to drink plenty now.

Well 2 to go!! A bit narked today as there were 4 people in the zapped all pawing and pulling at me and talking to me from different directions. Apparently 2 were students. Wasn't told about it until I actually experienced it!! Everything took twice as long as it usually does!! Anyway when I was done the radiographer apologised to me and sad I they would make sure there are not as many people next time as it is a big overwhelming!! Anyway here's hoping the beast from the east doesn't stop me getting there for the last 2!!! Xxx

Aww ladies you do make me laugh with you OH stories!! Mines been working this morning so had a few hours to myself. Love that bit of space!! Snuggle down in bed with a cuppa and turn in t.v...bliss!! Anyway up and out after he came home. Have been on a 1 and 1/2 hour walk in the glorious sunshine.. love it...get my earphones in and my music playing and I'm off!! Home made goulash in the slow cooker today, feet up now another happy Sunday. Top tip! Sleep in separate bed like I do just now and OH can't get into trouble with your boob at all!!! Lol!! He does have visitation rights though 😉 xx

I think you’ve got it in one Meesh...tamoxifen doesn’t make us grumpy just more vocal!! I just made OH two bacon & egg sandwiches telling him how nice I am...he replied it’s just coz you don’t like me when I’m drunk and not eaten....very true!! He’s already set the fire alarms off today..he slipped while in the bath and caused a ssunami 🌊 and leaked water thru ceiling thru the fire alarm sensor....then blamed it on the oils I use in the bath....reminded him I’m not allowed to use anything like that at the minute!!

Morning ladies! Great tune suggestion Shi! My OH elbowed me in the boob in bed this morning despite me telling him to watch his elbows yesterday morning when he elbowed me in the face 😡Luckily the duvet took some if the impact this morning, if he does it again he may end up with no 🏀🏀

I then snapped at him twice this morning whilst in Tesco and he mumbled something about tamoxifen 🙊 I dont feel any grumpier but I think I may just be vocalising what I might have previously just thought. It didn't list inability to keep your thoughts to yourself as an SE of tamoxifen 😱

Morning ladies....my grumpy ness lasted most of yesterday...even a couple glasses of wine didn’t help, or retail therapy, although I did get myself a lovely warm cardi which was half price!! I ended up coming upstairs at 830 and got in bed! Slept quite well until hubby decided to tweek my nipple....wtf...he’s lucky I didn’t do one of my 🐼 🥊 on him 😡 !  

Got another busy busy day today...apparently it’s super Sunday which means a,out of footy and we e got a group of ladies in for a baby shower....I’m hoping there’s going to be cupcakes involved!! Have got staff in all day so I will just need to be helping out where needed and we close at 8pm on Sundays so not too bad....let’s just hope I don’t kill OH!!

Still quite achy today...def think it’s the Tamoxifen SE’s hopefully that won’t last for much longer!!

Hi Shi, mine was looking a bit pink last night but it's actually looking ok this morning. I can see some colour compared to the other one but there's not a huge difference at the moment.
