Meesh I’m working on the assumption of you can make it to hospital from Lowestoft then I shld be able to from  Spixworth....it’s just the bridge that goes over the new NDR road that’s causing problems...OH wants me to cancel but I just want to get them over with and have already missed 2!

Beer delivery came Shi but still no wine & spirits 😱😱

Least the heating and hot water is back on....still feels cold as takes so long for this place to warm up!!

Evening ladies! Managed to get no13 ✅today 😊They've bought tomorrow's appt to 12:00 which is good. The roads were more or less clear but it was windy and you could see the snow drifts.

Spider woman, can't believe it's your last one tomorrow that's gone so quick!

Karen, I have used aloe Vera gel a few times and my boob has been ok. Maybe your skin just doesn't like it. Is it a 99.9% pure one?

Well that’s number 4 of booster done! One left tomorrow morning - hopefully the weather won’t get any worse. I’ve been using Flamigel which is apparently a new gel which came out late last year.  So far I’ve not been too bad, pink and only a small amount of itchiness (thankfully) - think the weather has gone in my favour as lots of working from home and no bra wearing (zero risk of poking peoples eyes out with a wayward bap) 😂

No 13 for me today can't believe how quickly it has gone - 2 more and then 4 boost. will be setting off shortly for ONC review and then today's treatment hope the roads aren't too bad.

No rads again for me today as they cancelled....quite pleased as like Meesh says it’s the wind causing snow drifts that’s the problem...think the main roads are clear it’s just getting to them that’s the problem!  My friend who lives near hospital says the road going into it is chaos 😱

we need to hope that our beer delivery makes it today or we will be a pub with no beer!  Yesterday afternoon was manic....it was like Christmas....loads of villagers that don’t usually use the pub decided they needed a drink!  Mustn’t complain tho!

Is anyone using Aloe Vera gel?  I tried it for first time yesterday but boob got quite red and hot...not sure if it was because if that or just what rads is doing??

Morning ladies! How are we this cold snowy morning? No more snow here overnight but the news says that the n&n have cancelled all ops today so I'm not hopeful for my appt 😕 I'm going to wait til a bit later to call and check as they may change their mind during the day😊 We have winter tyres on our car (had them for a few years) they are really good. 

Shi, travel safely I hope anyone managing to get to and from rads does so safely today!

Dont think our kitchen fitter will make it again today as apparently snow drifts are the problem now, it's quite windy here today 🙄

Had number 3 this morning without incident and went to Maggie’s for coffee afterwards and ended up in a drop in Thai chi class quite enjoyed it, they do it every week so will probably keep going.
Not much snow here at the moment supposed to hit us tomorrow.

Well done Alibobs 🛎🛎🛎Brumman hope everything is ok for you and you get an appointment quickly. That’s number 13 done today just 2 more to go. I am getting a bit pink and sore now so glad I’m near the end. I’m going to ask about my boost again tomorrow, I was told it was being given at the same time as my 15 but I’ve not heard of anyone else having it like that.

Thanks everyone!! They have advised me just to carry on my normal routine using the radiance gel for 2 weeks. I only have a little pink colour so no I'll effects to speak of. Trying to exercise/ walk regularly to keep fatigue at bay! That said it hit be after treatment 12. Couldn't keep my eyes open that day!! Feeling good just now but frustrating that I can't go out for a walk due to weather. Cleared the drive of snow instead!! I'm still on sick from work and they told me today not yo return until follow up appointment with surgeon which will probably be in May/June! Not going to argue even though I will be on half pay by May!!👎Take care everyone in this weather and good luck. I will come back on with an after rads progress report and to see how you all are 😗😗😗

Yay Alibobs! How are you feeling? I would be interested to know if the post rad fatigue hits you. During this treatment, I'm working only mornings and already work is looking hectic with lots of meetings etc  during the few weeks following the end of my radiotherapy...:/ 

Number 13 done...just 2 more regular rads and then the 5 boosts to go.  Interesting to see how other hospitals do things differently.

Main road re-opened and the weather calmed down so I took a chance and made my way 😎😎.  I managed to get through I just took my time and didn't  let anyone rush me. Now home after being out for nearly 4hrs, time for a nap I think.

Spoke to BCN and they need/want to see me. Booking me in for a rapid appt as doctor will be available and ultrasound equipment will be there in case they need to use. Could be a week to 10 days for appt. 😞

Well after battling through the snow and the sheer volume of traffic on the roads we finally got to hospital. Took over 2 hours,it's normally 45 minutes!! So that's my LAST session done!!! Yay!! So happy and thankful!! Good luck to each snd everyone of you. 😘😘😘

Morning ladies...made an attempt to go to appoint this morning but got as far as Morrison’s which is about 1.5 miles away and turned round and came back...people messaging me saying ring road was at a stand still!  Appointment cancelled and gotta ring in morning about 830 am appointment but that’s not looking hopeful at the minute....I’m not sure I’ve seen snow this bad for years!!

Well both me and Karen are having unexpected ☕️ and 🍰Stops as the hospital has cancelled all today's appts. I've got to call in the morning tomorrow to check if it's still on tomorrow. I'm glad to not need to go out in this snowy weather but it pushes my last appt into the next week 😔

Morning all,

May be having a day off today as A1 is shut for quite a stretch past my village. Phoned hospital and they said to re-assess nearer to appointment time and let them know.  If I am late they will still treat me.  My appointment is 12.50 so may have to try and leave at 11.30 to get there on time.  It's only 12 miles to hospital but road was closed yesterday due to accident and had to go long way round cross country and there wasn't as much snow yesterday.  Its still snowing here and flakes are getting bigger so I think I may be staying home.  Stay safe everyone xx

We'll definitely be needing a reindeer and sledge here! I'm hoping that the main roads will be clear by the time I go today. We don't live too far from a main road so hopefully I'll be ok. I'm a bit worried about my appts for tomorrow and Friday as although they've brought them forward they're still 5pm and 4:45pm and with the delay I had yesterday it'll probably mean driving back in the dark when it starts getting icy 😕

2 weeks post rads and all was going well until tonight. Tiny hard lump has appeared just to the left of my scar, as if something is trying to come out. Also having trouble lifting arm. So I guess a call to my BCN tomorrow.

Anyone got any thoughts

I've not had planning fir my boosters next week and I don't think they're doing it as it's not on my appointment schedule. Wonder why that's different? Just another example of different hospitals doing different things!

Happy birthday runnerbean!!! Hope you are having a lovely day. Well managed to get through to hospital ok today so just had number 14!! Last one tomorrow! Hope the weather is kind to me!! Don't know how I feel about ringing the bell. Have been in reception when others have done it to be met with a round if applause but think I would just rather get out of there!!!

Just 3 left to go now, still have a smurf boob and tamoxifen to conquer! Let’s hope the snow doesn’t get in the way too much for us all for the rest of the week. Saw Onc yesterday and they want to see me next in May. Feels a bit scary being let out in to the big wide world again with RT effects potentially at their worst 😳
