Been a busy day....rads early followed by reflexology then the mundane things, banking, paperwork etc!! Have managed to pop upstairs for a bit of boob time as it’s a bit on the red side and needed some airing!!

I have got an open physio slot because of chording But the 2 hospitals are totally different directions so I will wait until rads finished and then go back x

My house is in the middlish of the 2 with one being 40 minutes away and the other about 50 xx

I didn’t have clearance Sue but my armpit feels a bit stiff and tight after my Rads and they told me this was normal. I had to go to an arm class where they showed us exercises to do to help keep the arm mobile. Might be worth asking if they do something like that at your hospital xx

Anyone who had axillary lymph clearance have you found your under arm becomes tight with treatment
Mine did during chemo and it is again now during rads 😢 x

I'm a bit disappointed with rads as I thought it'd get rid of the last few armpit hairs that chemo didn't get rid of along my snb scar but alas no the little blighters are still there 😫

Hello ladies! No 19 ✅ and had my completion review. She said my skin has held up well (I'm not sure how she knows that seeing as she's never looked at it), other than that was just told to keep slapping the moisturiser on for another couple of weeks. Then will have 3 month check at my normal hospital.

Hi, Meesh it been a week since my treatments finished.  Was told to expect side effects after days 7-10 from first batch of RT ended and then to expect a further reaction where I had my boosters 7-10 days after that had finished. So may see more se,s this weekend from the booster site (nipple and side of breast) but so far so good 👍🤞🏻

Morning everyone, hope you are all OK.  Last one for me today, yippee!!  ✅✅✅✅. Feeling OK, scar a bit sore and a bit pink but manageable.  I also seem to have what looks like a bit if heat rash so hopefully it will calm down in the next few days.

Morning ladies! No 19 for me today and also my completion review. I'm not expecting much as my other reviews have not been very useful and she didn't even want to look at my boob. My boob is also looking slightly tanned, although I have a pink bit up nearer my collarbone which is itchy. I've also developed some spots on the cleavage side which I think must be from the moisturising and hot flushes I'm having. Karen, I also have the metal clips which I didn't know anything about either. It's weird because I asked the surgeon if he'd be removing the initial biopsy clip and he said he was but didn't mention bunging more in there 🙄

Good luck to you all today, hope you get in and out of your appointments quickly. My end of treatment review was just 5 minutes with a nurse who asked how I was had a look at my boobs told me I wasn’t looking too bad but to call if things got worse and they would see me again. She also gave me a copy of my pathology results from surgery which I found a bit odd but it’s the first time I’ve seen them and I was a grade 2 not 3 as I’m sure they told me which was a bit of positive news xx

Morning ladies No 16 for me today which means first of the boosters....they did explain yesterday what would be different and pointed out the different machine that’s used...they also mentioned that I have tiny clips in my boob that the surgeon left behind after surgery that helps them pinpoint the tumour area....I knew nothing about this...has anyone else been told this?

My boob is looking very tanned, but a bit like someone’s burnt me with an iron...OH says it looks a funny shape too 😱 it’s definitely a lot more uncomfortable....it’s not easy for me to go braless and everything I put on gets tight after about an hour!! 

Im so glad it’s friday today....this week has been a bit stressful and long 😱 hopefully a weekend of not getting up at stupid o’clock and being able to chill a little may revitalise me!

Ive also got an end of treatment review today....although I havent yet finished but maybe it’s cause I’ve finished normal ones?  Not sure what the meeting will entail??

Ps worth adding that’s just the physical effects, all a bit tearful at times at the realisation of what I’ve been through (only diagnosed on 21/12 ) so been a real quick journey. Again hydration and good support goes a long way

Think the SEs are so individual, I am developing a healthy tan to the left side, I have broken skin around my snb scar under my arm and a blotchy nipple. Between my baps it can best be described as a heat rash, it’s all been very do-able. Despite being on a back to work plan with reduced hours, I am standing in for my boss for two weeks. I’m tired and currently celebrate seeing 9pm as a late night but it’s not been as bad as I expected. That said I recognise I don’t have children etc. Also think hydration plays a massive part, my worst fatigue has been at about 8am when I have slept for 8 hours and then wake up and drink tea and coffee. Felt very odd until realised I wasn’t drinking enough through the night.  Lady Bowlers advise re fluid is so true - sorry quite a lengthy post but hopefully of interest to all still ✅ off treatment as to what might come next

No extra scans for me - they marked the square for the boost with a black sharpie and then used waterproof tapes to protect the ink as the tumour bed is in an unusual position and lining me up without this will be very trickey.

The last couple of days I had a bolus so no more bap squashing thanks goodness,

Evening ladies

Shi they have done the same to me as they have Meesh. On boosters they do an image each time I suppose it is to see if the markers are in the right place on tumor bed.  Last bap zapping for me tomorrow 🔔🔔 and then 💃💃 out the door!

I also have a CT scan tomorrow afternoon as when they did the ultrasound on liver they could not see properly because I had too much 💨💨, I definitely think it is a SE of 😎😎.  However they have confirmed I have gall stones, oh joy, you watch they will start playing up now and will have to have more surgery, grrrrrr. Other than that boob is OK at the moment sill using the gel! Aveeno and E45.

Shi, they've done multiple scans on me throughout as they have trouble positioning me. For the boosters they scan you each day (well they are with me). They pulled my leggings down again yesterday 😱I think it's because my muffin top interferes with the positioning.

Evening ladies! No 16 ✅ for me and 2nd booster. Roma it seems we've both had issues with booster no2 I was in there 50-60 mins today as the imaging machine broke whilst I was in there so had to lie there and wait for it to be fixed, then they weren't happy with my positioning so had to have it redone as well as imaging. I was so cold I was shaking and they gave me a blanket. I really hope the next 3 are more straightforward.

2nd booster, check ✅, 2 more to go!  The machine remote was playing up so took loNger than normal today. Had ONC review as well and she was pleased with how it was going but did say that it may get sore in the following 2 weeks and doesn't want to see me until May.  Hopefully it won't get too sore xx.

Hi ladies well it's a week since I finished rads. I've been a bit up and down with stuff since. Worried about changes to skin such as new moles and prominent veins but think I was being a bit paranoid. My treated area is now a nice brown square with my boob in the middle!! A little discomfort with sore nip and a little itchy. A few aches and pains in breast but nothing too bad!! Just trying to think positive now and waiting for follow up appointments. Still slapping on the radiance gel and taking plenty of fluid on board. Been out walking a lot which is great for my general well being as if lifts my mood. Hope everyone is doing ok too xx
