Hi all just caught up with this thread and glad it’s not just me with the stabbing pains and yes it is like all the nerve ending getting back into position I suppose. Bit embarrassing sometimes when in office full of men and suddenly hand to boob syndrome kicks in lol. And same with the heating to 6 weeks on. Our bodies are amazing things and heal so well. Another tick ✅. Stabbing pain all ok stop worrying! Need a tick list between us all.

I hear ya bout the stabbing pains!!
Sometimes they do make me jump with a sudden twinge but mostly it feels like tiny red hot pins.
I used my gel tonight as the area felt a little flushed but on the whole its the moisturiser that i always have to hand.
Im fascinated at how my body has healed. My surgeons did a grand job of stitching my nipple back on............
I do get a dull pain that moves around my boob but I wondering if thats just another sign that things and shifting themselves and settling.

Can I please butt in and say I get those momentary stabbing pains too - last just seconds but makes you jump like mad ... was asked at my review yesterday if I got them, and the review nurse smiled and said ‘good - it’s the nerve endings healing’ ...!

So that was reassuring, - she said it would go on for a while yet...lots of nerves..

And fridge cooled Aloe Vera, tried for the first time too yesterday as I’m now getting a bit heated under there - made me jump too ! But it was nice..

Hi lilacmoon. We are similar timing on finishing rads. Do get stabbing pains? Like a flippin hot iron shoot through your boob. Makes you jump when it happens. Or is this just me?

I used my gel straight after treatment and slapped it on while sat in the carpark. The O/H then directed the air con towards my chest for added cooling!!
Got to admit that apart from one itchy patch on my chest, I thankful didn't have any skin issues at all.

6 weeks post rads and still moisturising!

Hi Jane. I saved the aloe for when got a bit heated and sore and used direct from fridge. Aveeno majority of the time or cream that suits you. You should be fine for your first 10 or so other than achy arm maybe. Drink lots and keep slapping the cream in and go down to the top of your ribs and around you back to shoulder blade as I had a bit of redness appear there when done.

Yay! Just back from my first session. Preempting some discomfort so I have AV Gel on standby in the fridge. Should I use it WITH E45 cream or instead of?
