So today I am on day 4 of 5 Radio session, so far I'm OK. I'm drinking loads of water and slapping on Aveeno moisturiser. 

I wanted 11 weeks from surgery to my 1st session. They did originally have me booked in for 31st Jan to start but they had to call and rearrange as that made it 13 weeks and they had to do it within 12.

I'm just glad to get it done. Leaving shortly for day 4 then only 1 more to go.......wooooo hoooooo!!

Just a quick update  - surgery 17th Nov, oncology appt 10th Jan, planning CT 14th Jan & start radiotherapy 27th Jan, which will be just over 10 weeks from surgery date.   20 sessions. Seems like forever & the waiting is so stressful but be glad to get started.

Following this with interest.

im a planner and in my head it was all sorted / op 23rd November then Radiotherapy done and dusted by Feb then life resumes.

however margins weren’t clear so a week post op now from 2nd lumpectomy (results awaiting) and now looking at radiotherapy mid April.

been a long slog as I was diagnosed in June but had to go on letrozole first.

would be delighted if I was sooner than 12 weeks but the way my wee journey has gone I doubt it.

anyhow I’m looking at the delay as time to get some fitness back.

I had surgery 21st September 2021 a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. Started radiotherapy on 1st December 2021 10 sessions.

I had surgery on 22nd November. I had the radiotherapy specialist appointment to go over what to expect and to outline my treatment plan (this is when some see Oncology). I have had the preparation/planning/tatoo appointment and start radiotherapy on Tuesday for 5x days. Seems too soon for me, healing of the lymph node surgical cut is very slow. But they are going ahead.

Hi - I had surgery 17th Nov & have first oncology appt next week, which will be 8 weeks.  I believe it will still be a few weeks after that before treatment actually starts. I was told deadline to start is maximum of 12 weeks so I'm getting a bit anxious that they will miss that target.  Unfortunately Christmas & Covid are adding delays into the process.   I think it varies tremendously between different hospitals as well.  I'm in Birmingham.

Mine was around 7 weeks
