Re: CT Scan - scared

Don't feel you are letting others down, Cazzy. We can't stop what is happening to us and have to take the professional advice on offer. If that means delays, then we can only go along with the timescale we're given. No reasonable colleagues will feel you are letting them down, and if there are any unreasoanble ones, just don't take any notice of them.

Very best of luck. I hope your hallway is super bright for you to return to.

Re: CT Scan - scared

Morning Cazzy,

I feel your pain. Everything seems to move so slowly and you never know from one appointment to the next what's happening or going to be done. It is very frustrating isn't it? Keeping busy is easiest to keep the mind and body occupied. If your hallway isn't enough to keep you busy, I have a hallway that needs a lick of paint 🙂

Hi Cazzy,
Please don’t feel you’re letting others down, there’s nothing more you can do about it & by just getting on with things, it sounds like you’re handling this difficult period just fine. So frustrating, as you just want to get on with it, but it will soon be resolved.

Re: CT Scan - scared

Hi, On Fri I was directed to see the surgeon, so I read into that surgery first, poss chemo after. It appears that something,? has shown on my Liver but is very unclear, so now have to wait for an MRI to check that out, so no game plan. So jealous of people who are at that stage, I want to know what happens next so that I can move on. At the moment feel stuck in one place, and could be upto another 3 weeks before anything is decided. I have come round to accepting the wait and have found positive outcomes for the CT, neck to pelvis, no other problems showed up.. Just feel that all this standing around is very frustrating, and though nothing has been said ,and they are very supportive I feel that I am letting others down at work, and they are finding all this waiting frustrating too. Oh well not going to wish my life away I will accept the wait and find jobs to do to keep occupied. Could decorate the hallway. X

Glad it went well yesterday.  Unfortunately this is a waiting game but once you have your treatment plan you will know what is going to happen and when, I think it makes things easier as you can then focus on each stage at a time.

Re: CT Scan - scared

Had the CT scan today. No problems they were able to find a vein and the dye was OK. Really good experience no long queues no long waiting times. Wait until the end of next week to hear the game plan. More waiting, still next week is only the 3rd week since I was given the news and there was Easter in there too. X

CT Scan - scared

Just received my appointment for a CT scan on Weds 11th, so will know what is going to happen soon. Been ignoring the news for a while but now has brought it all back the anxiety and the fear. Deep breathe and keep going only 4 days for the scan and a possible plan in 5 days. Shaky. X
