Re: Cancer and covid?

Hi Amy you are being vigilant and that’s good 👍 being vigilant will get you through safely, always ring rapid response even with no temperature if you don’t feel well, it is always best to check with your team, being vigilant helps them keep you safe and get you through ❤️👭💕💕Shi xx

Re: Cancer and covid?

Hi shi. The paramedics told me to keep an eye on my temperature and its been normal today. My mum said it would be continously (sorry, my spellings not great!) high if it was covid. Im a worrier but if its positive, its just something im going to have to deal with. Im hoping it just a normal infection. Ive been prescribed antibiotics and a spray for my throat which are helping

Re: Cancer and covid?

Amy if your temperature is above what it should be during chemo you ring your rapid response number and tell them your temperature is up no matter what time of day or night. 👭 ❤️ Chemo can have lots of se’s. You are on high alert for everything during chemo, it’s natural survival response 👭 but please do phone your unit and check in with them again now and discuss temp and soar throat and check to see if you have thrush on tongue, that will need antibiotics. Keep safe 💕💕Shi xx

Cancer and covid?

I had my 1st round of chemo 13th august. Ive had good and bad days which i know is to be expected. But for the last week ive had a sore throat and the last 3 days its been worse. So i phoned oncology to see if the could prescribe me something and they said the wanted to send paramedics round to check me. They did my temperature and it was above the number for covid. So ive now been tested today. Im terrified what will happen if it comes back positive! What will happen with my treatment? What if i get really ill with it? I get my results tomorrow but im panicking now
