Hello, I am new to the forum. I have stage 1 breast cancer, first lumpectomy didn’t achieve clear margins so I had a cavity shave 7 days ago. The dressing is supposed to stay on another week until I get the results. I’ve just noticed that the dressing feels cold, is this ok? Should I change it? The rest of the breast feels warm. I showered this morning so I’m wondering if water has got in.
You could check this out with your breast care nurse or GP
surgery tomorrow -very probably because it has got wet .Did the hospital give you extra dressings ? If not maybe better to see a nurse to redo it due to infection risk .
