Re: New to the forum and diagnosed Her2 positive

Hi Helen,

Thank you for connecting and I am glad your treatment is going well and you got complete Pathological response like me.
I am on Phesgo # 9 coming week and another 5 more to go to complete my  1 year Antibody treatment. I was given my first Zometa for the bone strength as I am post menopausal. Side effects are still bothering me like knee joint  pain, bouts of fatigue and loss of appetite. Hopefully, they will improve slowly. I am not any other medication as I am ER /PR negative. Have a restful weekend and hope the side effects are not bad for you.
best wishes

Sara

Re: New to the forum and diagnosed Her2 positive

Hi @Sara123 others with HER2+ diagnosis,

My active treatment started in early February 2021 and my post-op radiotherapy finished seven months later at the end of August. I've just (yesterday) had my 6th (of 12) 3-weekly HER/PER injections.

I'm also keen to connect with others at various stages of treatment/recovery from HER2+ primary breast cancer.

A few more details: Grade3, c3cm, ER2+, Stage2 (two lymph nodes impacted), six 3-weekly chemo cycles (docetaxel with HER/PER), late June lumpectomy, rCR and pCR (thankfully), taking letroxole and ibandronic acid tablets since early August 2021.

Re: New to the forum and diagnosed Her2 positive

Hi Angel eyes,

Thank you for your message and hope you are doing good. Do you feel alright with the side effects of PHESGO? I am having trouble falling asleep and especially during my first week of Phesgo. My nose also gets painful sores all the time. Fatigue from my recent radiotherapy is still there. Hope you are feeling better.

thank you

Sara

Re: New to the forum and diagnosed Her2 positive

Hello ,

I am 57 year old woman diagnosed with right side early breast cancer in Nov 2020 and it was ER- PR- Her2+++ .My tumour was initially stage 3 a, 3cms and lymph nodes swollen under my arm pit which suggested that it has locally advanced. It scared me like anyone can imagine but, after 10 months of treatments and still going on I feel positive and life is slowly returning to some kind of normality. After my Neo adjuvant chemo (3 cycles of AC), 4 Cycles of Herceptin, Pertuzumab, Abraxane, Mastectomy, radiotherapy, now I am on Phesgo #6 (14 Phesgos planned till  March 2022). Side effects took me on and off to A&E, hairloss, fatigue, severe constipation and insomnia the list went on side by side with treatments and glad slowing down now as I started picking up my pieces. Is there anyone who has similar diagnostics and gone through like me there? I wish to get connected and help in anyway possible from my experiences. Also, to understand where my journey can take though each case is different.

kind regards
