Soopy, I'd honestly be fibbing if i said I knew the answer to this. From my own experience, just as a forum user over a couple of years, 2 weeks would seem very unlikely to have caused such a change and advancement. If that was likely then they would be scheduling surgeries sooner. It could be something really simple like some inflammation or bruising from the biopsies? Let me know when your bcn rings back, I hope they should be able to see you at very short notice. I had my surgery 3 weeks after diagnosis, and nothing had changed, some women wait much longer.
Hi again,
I'm pleased you've done that. It takes courage, when you are feeling awful at this time, but it is definitely the right thing to do. Not sure your date of diagnosis, but if it wasn't so long ago and done via mammo then changes can't happen too quickly.
Hiyer Soopy,
I think you should mention this now. I am not saying that this is something that is even more worrying, but for your own peace of mind get it done and dusted. Goodness knows that the wait between diagnosis and surgery is already psychologically draining without having another worry on your shoulders. A quick way to get to the thoughts of the oncologist, is to contact your breast cancer nurse. I am hoping that you definitely already have the phone details to use of the breast cancer nursing team ? In the worst case scenario it will revise how they do your treatment plan/surgery, or it could literally be nothing that concerns them. x
