Hi Avibaby,
Yea I was told it was 3 cms by the constulant, but I noticed myself just that it had got bigger and measured it, but when I rang the bc nurse she says that this can be normal x
Thanks Anne,
No I dont know what its called yet but looking up on the net it seems that it could be lobular bc.. yes I go for mri 2moro but wont get the results until 3rd sept. A long wait.. xo
Hi Leza,
It's not unusual for the size to change during investigations, it doesn't mean it's growing, it's just that more info becomes available & it can be sized more accurately.
Do you know what type of bc you have? For lobular bc, it's not unusual for it to be a large size, as it tends to be more diffuse, rather than a lump. I see from your other post, that you are to have an MRI, so this will help to clarify what the situation is.

Hi Ieza,
Call your doctor and ask why the difference.
Here's what happened to me:
At mammogram I was told that my lump was 1.4 cm.
At my pathology report I was told .6 cm
At my pre-surgery appointment I was told that 1.4 cm was correct.
The reason for my discrepancy is that the maximum size of my biopsy sample was .6 cm, so the pathology report said the width was the same as the sample size.
