Hello my bosom friends!! Hope you are all well. Just thought I would check into the Club as I have not been here for a while. I've just received my appointment for the 2nd year mammogram on 4th December so naturally my thoughts turned here!! Nervous but I know it has to be done!! Just back from a week in Tenerife so I am feeling the cold more than ever!! Trying to prepare for Christmas but reigning in the budget this year!!! Ah well my dears I do hope you are all well and happy 💗💗💗

Rosie 👏👏👏👍👍👍fantastic amount raised complete star 👍👍went to a vintage shop and bought 2 Spanish material fans 😂🤣😂💕😂🤣ole 👍👍they are blooming marvellous 😁😁the heats been 🌞🌞🌞🌞lovely but have had aircon on at work so lush ❤️ A sponsored John o groates to landsend would be good with ladies from each region down the country doing it and a baton getting passed county/county or region/region, it would take some planning but could raise a lot of money for bcc and breast cancer now. Hello lovely ladies - did you survive the heat? Blimey, it was hot. It has rained all weekend here at home and it has been heaven. Heatwaves don’t go with hot flushes!

Yes, I completed the Race for Life 10k in June. What an inspiring day. So many people running for so many sad reasons. Apparently we runners collected a total of £80,000 for cancer research. Fabulous.

First time post and also first visit to this site 😕

I took everyone advice when I was first diagnosed and avoided Dr Google so I just stuck to cancer-research website ( which has been amazing) never thinking about looking for an dedicated site for breast cancer ☹️ Until today !!

WHEN ........... I met an amazing lady who introduced to this site 😀

feeling absolutely shattered from shopping and heading into the car park a lady approached me and told me how long it was till her hair had to took grow back ( I was wearing my turban 😂) we had a lovely chat and she was full of amazing advice and insight into the coming months and then she opened my flood gates by offering to sponsor my son and I doing the race for life this weekend 😘😘

Few of us did the bucket collecting for breast cancer now at M&S stores last Saturday, so opportunities to volunteer with them also and they merged with bcc on 1/4/19 too so all raising for one fantastic organisation now ❤️❤️Have glorious blessed Easter’s everyone 😘😘💕💕✨✨Shi xx

I am unpacked! Phew. Every time I move house, I swear it will be my last time. Hey ho.

So I have had to move my cancer care team, due to my house move - something I was very nervous about. But the new team are just as amazing, so I feel I am in very safe hands.

Hello lovely ladies - sorry for being elusive - I am in the midst of selling my house and starting a new job. All quite stressful!

A major part of the house move has been moving my ongoing care to a new cancer team in Milton Keynes. I was quite nervous about changing the team, but the new lot are really nice, so I am reassured. Changing teams is a bit like cutting the umbilical, it seems.

Hello Ladies around the pool, so being made redundant at end of March (not a problem, great opportunity to get off the hamster wheel). Was fortunate to have group health insurance with job and was paying an ok premium. Just searching for future cover,  current provider for  cover now asking for £400 per month 😱 and other companies will cover me for anything but my pre existing conditions - anyone struggling with the same and any suggestions?

I am wondering how they will show Jenny having chemo. I thought they got her in fast too. Yes what about the lymph nodes being removed and the exercises. Maybe we will see more in the weeks to come. x

Hi Shi I did hear that the actress who plays Jenny said she wanted the programme to be true to life and factual. It's a shame they couldn't make more of an effort because maybe the shock factor might encourage even more people to self check. Like you say let's hope its done some good anyway. Ps loved whitney Houston although I'm not on the mood for dancing as just find out my bonus this year has been vetoed .....because I was off sick for 9 months....i had cancer fgs!! No end to it is there!!

Hi Alibobs, I heard about it, it’s frustrating but they probably don’t want to 😳😳😳people, I hope that if nothing else ladies watching it will start checking themselves regularly, and look at it that was, if it saves one life it’s not been a wasted story line,even if it’s been a bit film flam. Paula Ann bland who was in Grange Hill back in the day has had a triple neg diagnosis and was in Sunday express at the weekend. She’s had op and is looking at chemo and rads now, Paula if you do find the bccf please know we are here 👭👭👭and keep 💪💪💪💪 and a big thank you for raising awareness in the national press by telling your story and using your celebrity to make the press run the story on you. A good book that I found helped after my tn diagnosis is Patricia prijatel, surviving tnbc. 😘😘 ❤️❤️❤️To everyone in club Tropicana and tune in the jukebox today is I wanna dance with somebody - Whitney Houston 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻🕺🕺🕺💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💕💕💕✨✨✨Shi xx

Hi anyone else watching cold feet? What a crock that turned out to be!! Jennifer had breast cancer and has had her lumpectomy Op. No mention of painful biopsies, radioactive injection, guidwire insertion, lymph node removal!! And she stayed in overnight and was taken down to theatre in a wheelchair!!wish they would have asked me for a true life story!!!  Looks like a doddle to anyone watching!!!

Hi everyone hope you are all well. I'm not sure about this new look BCC site!! It's not as easy to navigate and to see the latest updates. I'm just giving it a whirl to see if it works!! Went to hairdressers yesterday and she remarked on how dry my hair had become.😯 I'm putting it down to anastrozole. It's gone really thin too so today I've been out and about some coconut oil products she recommends to put the moisture back in. Feel a bit fed up with myself. Cold, tired and achy. Had a walk thought it might lift my mood but it really hasn't. Think I just need to see some better weather. Ps still have my blue blob and its 14 months since I had my op!!!! A year since rads and my treated boob has deffo shrunk compared with the other!! Still getting twangs and sharp pains too. Anyway looking forward not back!! Roll on summertime!!💖💖
