Not sure if you had radiotherapy? I had short sharp shooting pains (a bit like a really quick zap sensation) after radio. My breast cancer nurse told me it was the nerves healing, which made sense to me. I looked upon them fondly after that as a positive sign. A bit like Shi's reference to things knitting back together.
Take one day at a time,
Your body and mind have been through a lot.
Lunatic ❤️ Everyone has different sensations post surgery, do please ring your team ASAP and discuss with them, they are your experts looking after you ❤️ And will take care of you. Personally post therapeutic mammoplasty, it felt like spiders running under my skin as things knitted back together. Everyone is different but please alway contact your team ❤️💕💕✨✨Shi xx
I came on here looking for anyone else with this weird shooting pain and found your post.I had a lumpectomy And SLNB in April and the last 2 days I have had real pain in the breast. Feels like someone is sticking needles into the area where the cancer was. This is new and not fun at all!
Hope your pain is calming xx

In the meantime, please remember that for any clinical questions our breast care nurses are here and happy to talk things through.
Sending you our warmest wishes,
Hi all, I had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal in November. I am getting so much pain in my breast, like one minute it is all fine and then it's like someone has twisted my nipple. I then get shooting pains and aching in the breast. I then end up holding the breast to try and massage the pain away but it looks awful if I am in company or out.
Is there anything I can do to ease this xx
