Hi Amelia, sorry to read you’re having problems with your hair, although I haven’t lost mine due to treatment I have had periods of hair shedding, and it becoming very thin, on and off since I was 16. I’ve seen everyone and anyone over the years and can appreciate how frustrating it is. Of all the supplements I’ve taken over the years the one I continue to take is Sun Chlorella A, there is another I found helped but this one is also good for the cancer side of things. Also, re any patches, have you heard of Lucinda Ellery? She does a weaving system to cover patches, and also clip in hair pieces which could help your crown area, not cheap but maybe something to think about? A friend of mine lost a lot of her hair due to having too many extensions, and was a client at Lucinda’s for several years. She also treats people with Trichotillomania. There was a programme on channel 4 about her a few years ago but I believe it is still available to watch. Hope you find something you feel comfortable with soon, and let me know if I can help with any further info. Kate x

Lots of us seem to suffer from permanent hair loss post chemo, thanks to taxatere and or aromotose inhibitors, but has anyone had any success in getting their oncologist to take them seriously and refer to an epidemiologist? Or any other route. There are lots of hair clinics out there, but really don’t trust any of them. My hair has grown back very thinly and I now have a bald patch on the crown which seems to be getting worse. Advice really welcome as the ‘baldness’ is getting me down.
