This is my first post.
Had surgery in January - mastectomy with lat Doris reconstruction. Due to fat necrosis suture line burst after about 2 months , followed by abscess. I’ve been admitted to hospital on various occasions for IV antibiotics in between taking oral antibiotics. I still have 2 open wounds. Surgeons just say patience is needed. I’m now seeing tissue viability nurse which is positive. However I am also being worn down by pain- around wounds, and seeing, tightening like elastic band under arm and over top of reconstruction. Any advice regarding dealing with pain and has anyone else had difficulty with fat necrosis/ recurrent infection/poor wound healing. Was very for and healthy prior to this malarkey
