Re: Post Op Stabbing Pains

Hi Shablah,

Thank you!

Just to add, if you are having radiotherapy some of us get the occasional short, sharp, shooting pain (a quick ouch sensation) which my breast cancer care nurse told me was nerves healing after the radio. Worth knowing beforehand since then you can look upon any such things as positive signs!

Re: Post Op Stabbing Pains

Thanks Seabreeze. I spoke to someone today who said it's all perfectly normal and it's just my nerve endings knitting back together. Thanks for your reply x

Re: Post Op Stabbing Pains

Hi Shablah,

Probably just due to healing generally and nerves healing too. Agree with the last post, phone your breast care nurse to check, or the forum nurse if you can't get hold of your breast care nurse.

Wishing you good healing.

Re: Post Op Stabbing Pains

Hello, just to let you know that I had the same, lasted a few weeks, and then stopped.

Every little twinge is worrying isn’t it? I would suggest you speak to your BC nurse to double check, hopefully will put your mind at rest.

Very best of luck with your recovery, don’t forget to moisturise!

Post Op Stabbing Pains

Hi ladies

I'm almost a month post op after a lumpectomy. I have been having some stabbing pains every so often in my boob. Is this normal? Anyone else had this? I'd be grateful for any advice you might have.  x
