Back in 2011-12 the Dark Dark Woods thread was a safe place for many women to support each other through metaphor, humour and sharing.
One of the ‘birds without feathers’ was Cackles, a BCN with breast cancer who, in her words, ‘knew too much and not enough’.
Very sadly, Cackles went on to develop a degenerative condition that has cut short her life, and she died peacefully this week. Her family has asked me to let anyone who knew her know.
RIP Cackles, I hope you are safe and comfy in your nest in the old yew tree.
