Developing a way to collect small tissue samples from several different areas of the body

What’s the title of the project?

Developing a way to collect small tissue samples from several different areas of the body in one sitting.

What is the project about?

Traditionally, doctors assess cancers by taking a small sample of tissue from one area of disease (i.e. a biopsy), but this means that potentially important information about tumours in other organs is not considered. Researchers from the Institute of Cancer Research aim to find a method to collect tissue from several sites.
