Predictors of Protective Behaviours for Breast Cancer in Non-Screened Women

What is the project about?

The study will look at the knowledge of non-screened women about breast cancer, current habits about breast awareness behaviours, and identify barriers which prevent women from undertaking breast awareness behaviours or seeking a doctor’s help.

What’s the criteria for taking part?

You may be eligible to take part if you are a female and aged 18-46, living in England. You need to have a good level of the English Language to read, understand and respond to the questions.

What do I need to do?

You will be asked to complete a short section about yourself, such as which age group you fit into, and if you are registered with a doctor. After this, you will be asked a few questions about your current knowledge of breast cancer, followed by questions about your breast awareness and assessment habits. These will be answered on a strongly agree - strongly disagree selections scale. Next, you will be asked to complete a short section about barriers that you feel you face and stop you from seeking help and carrying out breast assessments. This study will not take more than 10 minutes to complete.
