Hi all can anyone help with cancer markers.Mine increase every month , which really concerns me They have booked me in for a petscan ,so will see how that goes x
Hi Hannah, I’m assuming you mean tumour markers? Some oncs use them some don’t.
My onc does, oncs look at the trend, they use them as a general guide along with CT results and how you are feeling in general, mine have also been slowly increasing but she’s not concerned because my CTs are stable.

Hi Hannah, my Onco doesn’t tell me my markers…nor do I ask! He knows, of course, but if I’m generally well, and bloods are good ( as he calls it) then off I go with my meds. I have regular scans and they show I’m doing well. He reckons numbers worry us ladies, and we’ve got enough on our plates! ?Of course, there are other things that affect the markers, so I let him worry about it all. ?x
