Hello
i found out about Professor Johnston from a friend in Milton Keynes whose wife is at the Marsden and he recommended a telephone consultantion as it was covid. We paid for this I think it was £250. We contacted his secretary at the Marsden and she arranged the appt. my notes were sent to him from the hospital and he then recommended the Gardant 360 test which showed PIK3CA and a Brac mutation as well. He then recommended the meds I am on now which I think only came out of trial last September. I will have scan in December to see if it has worked on the 8 tumours in my chest
Hope this helps and good luck.

Hello,
How do I get this test?
My Consultant will not countenance it.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I've had bloods done for genetic testing which has been sent off for analysis but still not sure if it covers this mutation.
It sounds like it may be a different test as ive not heard them mention this name.
Thanks

Hi
Has anyone been tested for the above gene mutation?
I have read an article which says 40% of ER+ breast cancers have this mutation.
Is this done along with the generic gene tests e. G Bcr1 and Bcr2 or is it a separate test?
Thanks
