Secondary breast cancer

I had to go into hospital with breathing difficulties last May, while I was there it was confirmed that I had secondary breast cancer which had spread to all my bones. I also have a pleural effusion which needs draining on a regular basis. I am on hormone tablets, water tablets and blood thinners as I also have a clot on my lung. This week the community nurses have cut down on the number of times the fluid was drained from three times a week to twice a week as the amount of fluid that is being drawn off has decreased but today my chest is painful and I have difficulty taking a proper breath, not enough to need hospital care but uncomfortable.

Hi Bowler12
So sorry to read this, I can imagine how not only scary not being able to take a proper breath, but the diagnosis of spread must have been shocking.
I do hope you’re a little more comfortable since Sunday. How long has it been your original diagnosis?  I’ve not been on this forum much lately, but I will definitely log on more often and look out for your messages. Take care B
