Re: Secondary skin cancer

Hi, I think you might mean that you have a local or regional recurrence of breast cancer rather than skin cancer as a new type, but this would be confirmed by a biopsy. I had a recurrence in my left armpit right next to my reconstruction 14 years after my primary. I had surgery, chemo and more radiotherapy at the time. That was 10 years ago and I had several recurrences under the skin in the same area in the following 4 years.

Your team will make a decision following biopsy/scans as to treatment. Fingers crossed for you and hope that this is of some help.

Secondary skin cancer

It's possible that my breast cancer has now recurred as skin cancer on the skin over my implants. I had a bilateral mastectomy, chemo and radiation 20 years ago. Has anyone had an experience like this?
