Hi I have chosen to have bilateral mastectomy with immediate diep reconstruction but my BC clinic can not perform it. I have been referred back to my GP to refer me to Charing Cross but my BC says it will delay the operation for another 6-8 weeks. And I haven’t even been referred yet!
I really want surgery sooner than that. Has anyone paid for this operation privately outside of insurance? Is that even possible?
I have Stage 1 Grade 2 IDC in left breast and large area of DCIS in right.
