Hi Nikkit,

 

I'm a bit late in replying - sorry.

 

I had the same op as you (with SNB). The district nurse told me that the steri strips should stay on for 2 weeks after op and that the dressings are there to protect them. She gave me prescriptions for both waterproof ones (Tegaderm) and Mepore ones so I'm able to change them quite regularly. 

I also felt the dressings really uncomfortable for a few days, but they got more bearable as the week went on.

 

Hope yours is more comfortable now. x

Dressing when to remove

Hi I had a Wle and sn biopsy last Friday
Dressing changed at my drs surgety on Wednesday. She told me to keep dressing on till I see Surgeon on Wednesday but the dressing is really uncomfortable can I remove it ?
I have steri srips underneath
