Glad to hear you're home, I've been thinking of you. Fingers crossed for your recovery and results.
I am seeing my surgeon later today, they'll remove the dressings for her to check all healing according to plan. Was told last week that they may have the pathology reports back too, but trying not to get my hopes up as I know a lot of labs have backlogs.
yes I’m home. Had to stay in Monday night as I had a reaction to the anaesthetic. Sick, and then my BP went scarily low so they kept me in. I was glad to be honest it wasn’t nice.
But I’m home now, slept ok once I got comfortable as I usually sleep on my front. Just a bit sore now but I know each day I’ll improve.
They took 3 lymph nodes. Just hope there’s clear margins and don’t need more surgery.
I didn't drive myself, making the most of my partner being around to drive me as he goes back to work tomorrow:) I think it'll be a couple of weeks before I can drive myself.
It was lovely to be out and doing something normal though.
Get you going out! My dr says I can’t drive for 4 weeks which I think is a bit extreme.
I had a hysterectomy in 2017 and drove after 4 weeks and that was major abdominal surgery. I’m sure after 2-3 weeks I’ll be fine to drive.
Hi Lou, just wanted to wish you well for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you.
I'm venturing out for lunch today, got 'proper' clothes on and everything 😅
Hi Lou, that's good news...the sooner the op the sooner you can recover. Hope you get the logistics sorted.
Spoke to my consultant and a cancellation has come up so she asked me if I’d be happy to come in on Monday.
I said yes, even though it’s going to be tricky as my partner has a hospital appointment at 9am (& can’t currently drive, I’m his taxi) and we’re having carpet fitted in the afternoon 🤣
But we will manage with the help of family.
So I’m currently looking at the freezer, thinking about a food shop and getting a hospital bag sorted!
