Re: Node incision

I think it is an up and down time.  I didn't start to feel anything like vaguely ok for two weeks after surgery.  Then I had another period about a week later where I definitely felt like I went down again - my arm really started to hurt and I struggled.  Then about 10 days after that I bashed my arm on a door (no I wasn't even drinking - no excuse other than clumsy!) and that set my mobility back again.  So I suppose I am saying - one, be kind to yourself and two - there might be some down days, but then there will be better days.

And no - you are not alone.

Re: Node incision

Hi

Yes, i am the same. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago  and my dressings off after one week. It made me feel very vunerable for the first few days.

My node incision is definetly more sensitive, and i get occasional sharp pains, but i believe that is to be expected.

Otherwise my wounds are healing well, just keep up with your exercises.

Good luck with the next stage xxxx

Re: Node incision

I’m having the same soreness under the arm . Breast incision seems fine but the steri strips under arm are now startinh to break and seems deeper wound, I have placed a sterile dressing over this area tonight . Not to bad but a little sore 7 days in fingers crossed xx

Re: Node incision

The lymph node scar for me was a bigger (wider) scar.  I was told that they cut and stretch nerves, so all this must add to the feeling of soreness.

Do take care of yourself.

Re: Node incision

Hi Alvilajo

My lymph node scar/wound was much, much more painful and took longer to heal.  My armpit is still numb (my surgery was early Feb) and I am still having some pain in my arm.  I would suggest doing the physiotherapy regularly as this is the thing that helped me.

I hope your soreness subsides soon.

Take care A

Node incision

Has anyone else found the node removal wound is more sore than the breast. I took dressing off today and looks very neat but very sore in that area near armpit x
