Post-surgery infection - how long for swelling to go down?

Hi all. I had a bilateral masectomy with straight-to-implant reconstruction around 10 weeks ago, and last week I started feeling unwell, then came down with a fever and started showing signs of having an infection around my left implant.

I’ve now been on 2 types of oral antibiotics for a week, and though the fever, pain and redness have gone my left breast is still very swollen. It’s twice the size of my my other reconstructed breast.

For those who’ve had similar infections, how long did you have to wait for the swelling to go down? I’m due to see my surgeon tomorrow and am wondering if all the swelling means I should anticipate that this infection is going to require further treatment.
