I didn’t expect it but to be honest, feel better I came home . Bit sore but coping alright plenty of rest and people fussing me for a change. It feels a relief after the fast pace of the last 4 weeks now I just need to get my head round it all.
I'm glad I didn't have a mastectomy as day surgery 30 years ago - it's appropriate for a lumpectomy but it shows how low the NHS has sunk in that period.
Well that was a whirlwind of a day . Theatre admission for 7am down to theatre for 10am. Left Mastectomy done due to 2 idc and 1 further query lump and SNB tested thankfully no further lymph nodes needed to be removed. in recovery for 1pm back on ward for 2. Home for 6 pm crikey I’m feeling ok today painkillers took and been looked after well, what a journey....
