Re: peripheral neuropathy

You should be able to get capsicum cream from your GP. I have some and it works a bit.  I have the strong one and I can feel the heat from the chilli in it.  I hope it gets better for you.

Re: peripheral neuropathy

Hi CarolWD,

Thanks for your post.

It sounds like you're doing the right thing by checking it out with your doctor, you can also give our breast care nurses a call in the meantime if you'd like to. You can reach them on 0808 800 6000.

Take care,

Becca at Breast Cancer Care.

peripheral neuropathy

Hi, I had a mastectomy on 19th December, no pain after and all went well till seromas and infection which is now being cleared up, but now I have what I think is peripheral neuropathy in my foot and leg the same side as the operation. I have all the symtoms and I wondered if anyone else here has suffered with this and what did you do about it.

I'm going to the doctors once I've made an appointment.  It started a couple of weeks ago, just pins and needles sometimes which I thought was due to my sciatica as that also is that leg.

Any help is gratefully received

Linda

PS I've not been on any medications yet and I see they also can cause this so I'm worried it's going to get much worse.
