Radiotherapy Creams

Hello

I was chatting with another radiotherapy patient yesterday, she is finishing today and I should finish next Wednesday.

Neither of us have had any skin reactions: she has used a cheap sensitive baby moisturiser, I have similarly used a relatively cheap sensitive skin moisturiser, however we both applied plenty a minimum of 3 times a day and kept hydrated.

I hope this proves helpful

Likewise for me Aveeno and lots and lots of water (I have always drunk water) do not smoke or drink either, so maybe that helped.
Sometimes my neck itches (have to keep it out of the sun) but that’s all.

Hi

Glad to hear you’ve had positive experience so far. I’m balloon-pricking here. I sailed through radiotherapy, then, about 2 weeks later, the microwave effect hit. It was just itching front and back but, as I have neuropathic pain from chemo, I have to say, 2.5years on, my breast muscles still hurts. You may have no after effects but better to know what could happen than worry something has gone wrong?

Wishing you all the best xx
