Re: Very sore quicks due to chemo

Hi, I haven’t yet had the need to use it yet myself, but in clinic my chemo nurse advised me to use Flexitol and in particular the Heel Balm. One of the main ingredients is urea which apparently is very good. It’s available in any chemist and I paid less than £5 for a small tube. I’d be interested to know if it works for you. Good luck. Re: Very sore quicks due to chemo

Hi, I found both Vasaline and Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream good - had the same problem with my nails and cuticles, assumes it’s because I’ve had gel bails for years. Hope you find something soothing soon. Maggie x

Very sore quicks due to chemo

Can anyone give me advice on what they have used to treat the quicks round my nails, they have become very dry and sore even though I'm using hand and nail cream every day. The skin is peeling off and after looking at creams in so many shops, I'm just not sure what would work well.
