When you get your voucher you will be told where it can be used, and how much it’s worth. I was lucky in that my Trust paid for my wig. The wig fitter ( is that what they’re called???) advised me to choose short, so the ends don’t frazzle, get a handwoven one, so it looks natural, and have a lace cap, which is lighter and looks like your scalp. Obviously mine wasn’t real hair, but more than good enough to fool friends and family. I would have struggled to pay what it said on the box. I loved it. I called it my shake’n’go look. Also took the opportunity to buy hats and change my look, as a wig is so hot in summer. X
And suppliers in Sheffield. I’ve looked on Safari and there’s nothing on the NHS websites, national or local as to which suppliers are able to take the vouchers. A national list would be extremely helpful! I have a good supply of beanies and scarves but a wig would be good.
Hiya
thank you for your reply.
Im seeing my oncologist on Monday so will see what they say
Hi Kelly73
I'm not in your area but when I got my wig voucher from my oncologist there was a list of local suppliers on the info sheet!
Did you get your NHS voucher?
Hope you get sorted 👩
