I have no answer to tiredness, but I may have an answer to the stiffness in the joints. I have been taking 1 400mg on Turmeric and 1 CBD capsule a day for about 3 weeks now, the stiffness is far less. Before I started I checked with both the hospital and the chemist pharmacist. I’ve no idea if one or both are doing the job but I feel much better. Both are available at Holland & Barrett and are natural. Hope this helps!
I get very tired and stfff on Letrozole and struggling to cope with working 2 days a week (mind you not had a hol in 3 months even so) and hit a "lull" at 3pm in the afternoon. Definitely feeling my age (59) and got a have a lot less energy than before I was on it.
Hi Iris, any questions about it let me know. Most start with 1/4 teaspoon twice daily and if no side effects increase the dose after a few days, otherwise increase when they settle down....they advise this as some need the loo a little more initially if they’re not used to spices! (I love curries and I was fine). I now take a teaspoon three times a day but some take less, others a bit more. Do check re any treatment you’re on but sure you don’t need me to tell you that! My Onc doesn’t have a problem with things like this but I believe some do. The volumes shown does make a fair amount so you could easily half the amounts for your first batch and just remember turmeric powder turns everything orangey yellow! Hope it helps, Katexx
Appreciate this is a thread about tiredness but noticed some comments about joint pain and stiffness and wanted to ask does anyone take Turmeric ‘Golden’ paste? I’ve been on Letrozole two and a half years now, considered myself to be very lucky re side effects, then over the past couple of months noticed an increase in stiffness. I’ve added Turmeric (along with some oil and black pepper) to my cooking for almost as long as I’ve been diagnosed (straight to stage 4, 2015) so didn’t really see how much more the paste could help me...how wrong was I!...felt an improvement almost immediately! Definitely worth a try if treatment allows, which I think many do. I find I sleep much better too, don’t know if that’s because I’m more comfortable or not. Info is on line or fb but happy to post the recipe and how to take if anyone is interested. Kxx
I had the same after chemo,I felt suddenly better than I had the letrozole, now again very tired
