Referred for PET scan after consultant worried recurrence...

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having an awesome day. Im looking for a little help or advice or information… (pretty please)

History:

I was diagnosed in Aug 2014 at 34 with Brest cancer, that was also found in my lymph nodes. Double mastectomy, tram flap recon, chemo, radio, herceptin and tamoxifen for 10 years.

I went to GP with chest pains. He said my heart was fine, but on examination found my breast bone tender and a painful spot on breast when pressed. Referred me to oncologist (im living in Dubai) and after his exam he said I have a lump in my neck too. That he is worried that there is recurrence in bone and neck. So is sending me for PET scan.

He also did bloods… Im intersted to understand these if anyone has any information:

Alkaline phosphatase 41 u/L

Gammaglutamytranserase 73.1 U/L

Calcium 2.7 mmol/l

RDwsd 39.2

MON% 7.6

MCH 32.4

MPV 7.2

Starting to get everything out of perspective n feel panicked :frowning:

Any experiences you can share wold be greatly apprieciated.

Many thanks,

Lou

Hi everyone,

So they found secondary breast cancer in my neck and chest. I’m very disappointed, but want to move forward. I was told in UK they give chemo to be entitled to herceptin and it combination hormone.
I’m living in Dubai n wondering if just to take the herceptin combo?? I hated chemo. I’m going teetotal , vegan n starting the gym. Hope this all helps too?? Xxx
