I too have bone and liver mets, I was diagnosed with them last October. My initial bc diagnosis was 2016 & although I had a very small breast lump, unfortunately I had extensive lymph node ‘invasion’ . I am on everolimus and exemestane plus have 3 monthly Denosumab injections. I cope reasonably well with the meds and they don’t interfere in my day to day life, although I do get a sore mouth from time to time and feel tired. My mets remain stable and I too have 3 monthly scans.
My last few Ct Scans have been stable, however the last 2 months I’ve had a lot more back pain. I’ve been working from home on a dining chair due to covid and my oncologist thinks that could be why. He ordered another CT which I’m waiting for results on. I think he wants to check on the liver more than the bones. Hence my query. I’ve now got a proper chair for working which has helped a bit. Considering I have bone mets everywhere they don’t usually cause me much discomfort which is why I’m a bit concerned now. I’m taking Faslodex and Verzinio and would like it to work a bit longer.

I too have liver and bone mets. The liver mets appeared about 5 years after my bone mets so I’ve had the two (together) for about 7 years now. My liver mets have changed during that time, increasing or decreasing (sometimes down to no evidence of active disease) but my bone mets have been stable all the time. I suppose soft tissue metastasis are identified as ‘progressing’ by mere millimetres as they compare like for like scans whereas bone mets could also be increasing by millimetres but less obvious? Since 2013 I have been on Denosumab for the bone mets whereas before that I was on bisphosphonates and had quite a lot of progression during a time when my scans were at least 6 monthly which meant the spread wasn’t picked up sooner.
if you have Liver and Bone mets for example, is it possible the treatment is keeping the liver mets under control but the bone mets are progressing? Or vice versa.
Or... If one area of mets is progressing then the other area definitely will be too.
