Hi everyone,
Just found links to the free exercise at home vids. I mentioned to a few people:
This one's for more energetic days:

There's loads of variations on the number of miles, intensity and focus of the exercise.
This one's for when the chemo. has you zapped but you still don't want to lose muscle tone:

Just wanted to say how lovely it was to meet you all last Friday and Saturday and to feel less alone about all of this. It was interesting for me to hear so many different views about what we are all experiencing.
I know that Stephanie has already sent out a blind e-mail about this and I would be happy to meet up for a casual tea / coffee and chat in a central Bristol location, say towards the end of this month. If everyone wanted, we could make it a regular, once a month thing, for example, first Saturday morning or third Wednesday afternoon of the month. Just to be clear, I don't want to exclude anyone not from Bristol but just seeking a location that would work for the majority of us. Welcome suggestions for locations such as St Nicholas Market, Old Assembly Rooms...
I wish you all the best for your treatments and outcomes and don't be a stranger if we bump into each other in Oncology or at Southmead.
Kind regards,
Geetha
Hi there. My name is Becky and I was diagnosed in April 2016 when i was 40. I have two children (now 11 and 13) and they have been amazing over the last few years. I have had chemotherapy and a mastectomy, with an immediate diep reconstruction. I am doing very well physically but still definitely struggling with the emotional side to it all, this is one of the reasons I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I am really excited about meeting you all.
Hi Everyone, my name is Lillian and I was diagonosed in November 2016, when I was 33. I've had a lumpectomy, fertility treatment, radiotherapy and am now taking Zoladex and Exemestane. In the middle of my treatment I also got married and went honeymoon, 2017 was certainly eventful! Looking forward to meeting you all and hearing your experiences, it'll be good to hear from ladies of the same age.
Hi there
I’m Jo and an older young woman too. I have 3 kids, and the youngest has just turned 5.
I was diagnosed in July 2017 and have had a mastectomy and chemotherapy . I’m currently undergoing radiotherapy (but have managed to change to an early slot on the Friday morning so I don’t miss the start of the event).
I was initially a bit wary about coming along to something like this as sometimes I just want to forget I have cancer and feel normal again. However since meeting a few younger people with breast cancer, I have really appreciated spending time with women who truly understand what it is to be faced with this diagnosis, and to deal with the challenges of the treatment. I’m hoping this weekend will enable more of that.
I’m not feeling or looking my best but will try to find something to wear for the Friday evening that looks vaguely ok despite a bald head, no eyelashes and a 5kg chemo weight gain (I'm blaming the chemo but wondering if perhaps I just ate too many biscuits).

Hi Emma, I was going to wear a dress. I haven't been out much lately so will be nice to wear it!
Hi ladies, I'm Sarah and was diagnosed last May. I am really looking forward to meeting you all this weekend, just before I start rads on Monday. I'm 45, married with an 11 going on 16 year old daughter.
What does everyone wear for dinner on the Friday night?
Is it dressy? Looking for a chance to dress up and feel good about myself!
Hi my name is Lucy, i'm 36 years old and i was diagnosed 18th Dec 2017.
I've got 3 children and I've just started FEC-T.
I'm really looking forward to making friends and meeting others of a similiar age.
I am looking forward to Friday and meeting others that understand the highs and lows.
I feel so fortunate that I am coming out the other side of this but still amazed at how emotional I get.
I just started on tamoxifen last week and I know it is the right thing to do, but I really didn' want to start taking it. The side effect list sounded so horrible, but the rational bit of my brain (that sometimes still works) has made me realise that i am not likely to experience all these things from day 1!
Booked a place on the Younger Women’s Together event in Bristol but worried about going alone?
