I don't really have anything to add but I just wanted to say, you are all amazing. You sound like such strong women and I had tears in my eyes as I read your posts. Thankyou for being so courageous and also sharing your experiences x

Re: 22 years old feeling scared and alone

Hello!

I'm 30, you're not alone!

I have neither children nor husband, but my friends strongly supported me. But still depression began. But I try to hold on, I take Calmax and I do try to at least communicate via the Internet and on the phone. Everything will be fine!

Re: 22 years old feeling scared and alone

Hi haniban,

I'm 23 and was diagnosed back in November with stage 2 ductal cancer, I had 6 rounds of chemo, a lumpectomy and total removal of lymph nodes on the right side, but results came back that I still had cancer cells in the breast, they then decided to go ahead with a mastectomy, they've now told me they want to remove my ovaries, it's so hard to take in at this age, hope your getting on okay x

Re: 22 years old feeling scared and alone

Hello

I was 22 when I was diagnosed; I'm now 31 and cancer free. I'm not sure if you have had your appointment but try not to worry too much yet until you know for sure- easier said I know. As wtp2016 said if it is cancer- you are in great hands - please let us know how you get on, and here if you want to chat or ask questions xx

Re: 22 years old feeling scared and alone

Hi Haniban, so sorry to hear what you're going through and at such a young age. I'm not in my twenties but keep getting told I'm young by the docs (36!). I was diagnosed a month ago and totally understand how scared you must be feeling.
I'm not sure what advice I can give as it is impossible to not worry and the waiting is torture. How did the referral go? When do you get your results? All I can say is what others told me which helped - breast cancer is very treatable and even curable. Lots of women survive it and carry on with their lives - I've found the NHS to be amazing, so quick and the docs and nurses all really great and supportive.
Make sure you take a close friend or relative with you to your appt as it's hard to take all the info in and good to have support. I've got everything crossed for you! Pls let us know how you get on xxxxx
