Sorry didn't mean the HRT had caused the cancer. It didn't I had the cancer before I went HRT but I didn't know. 2 months after going on HRT I got an early call for first mamagram and that's when my 15mm tubular was found. I was told by consultant to immediately stop the HRT. i don't know what my er+ score is as I didn't want any path results. I just know it was er+. I was on HRT for a short while as I was suffering really badly with hormones, emotions and terrible night sweats before I got diagnosed with tubular in Jan. I am desperate to go back on as suffering again now and not aiding recovery but I have been told I can not go back on it ever due to the oestrogen feed Tubular. I have been told by BCN to try acupuncture for menopause systems and problems........I doubt very much they will let you have HRT so maybe look at the acupuncture too.  ... View more

I bought a few from several places inc Debenhams and Marks for after my lumpectomy and I've got to say the cheap crop top style bras I got from Matalan that were only £6 are by far the most comfortable for day and sleeping in.  ... View more

Hi Angelcake,   I sort of understand where you are coming from with the not jumping for joy now you are coming to the end of your journey from a treatment point of view. I am more emotional and depressed currently than I have been through this so far and I don't know why. Fear that I am on my own after rads without a medical team to keep me safe maybe? I really don't know but I know I'm struggling a fair bit. And then I feel guilty for being like this........which then makes my emotional state worse!!! I've got great family and friends that have been really supportive but they all seem to think I'm better and back to normal due to results being good and I want to scream that I'm not better.......certainly not mentally.    I hope you feel better soon as its blooming rubbish feeling like this.   Thank you you for sharing the tips for when I hit rads. Nothing wrong in having a glass or 2 to help you unwind while going through the wait. I certainly did and in fact think my first question to my BCN wasn't  about the cancer but "can I still drink wine?!" (Priorities and all that)........ Her reply was fill your boots! Bizarrely since surgery I can't stand the taste of it! My initial treatment plan was similar to yours Louisa - WLE, rads and hormone  blockers and I'm pleased to say after surgery results it remained the same so keep fighting and keep strong. I will be starts rads next month. It doesn't feel like it right now but there will be a time when you can see an end. But also don't beat yourself up if you have a down day at any stage in this process.    On a division - I felt exactly the same as you when I was diagnosed. I felt so well and couldn't get in my head I had cancer. But I think it's due to BC in many cases being found and diagnosed early and it's a good thing to feel OK in general health as it helps you fight and beat it    sending hugs to you both  kerry xxx ... Hi Missy,  sorry you find yourself here but you will find lots of support from the other ladies here. We all have our good and bad days and I do think the early days are very surreal and you are bombarded with info and it's difficult to take it all in. Just take each day at a time and dont feel bad if you feel your mind is doing overtime. I had a lumpectomy and been very lucky to have had clear margins and nothing in my lymph nodes but for about 2 weeks before my op I was battling with myself to insist on a double mastectomy as the fear was go great. Even though I have the all clear on Thursday, yesterday was a bad day for me and I was very weepy........I'm not going to beat myself up over it as psychologically it's hard at times.    Having breast cancer can be a very lonely place at times but where you participant on this forum or just read threads you will find it helps. Thanks everyone. I've been out for a celebratory Costa this afternoon with girlfriends  Had a glass of champers last night and was extremely squiffy.........hope this damn cancer hasn't affected my alcohol tolerance Lol. l'm still in the wars a little and on so many tablets I'm rattling! (Probably the reason one glass of bubbly made my body think I'd had a bottle!)  I've unfortunately got infection and suffering with hematoma and seroma which I've had both drained once but think they are filling up again as in a lot of discomfort again today. My arm movement is rubbish and still can't drive.    Small price to pay however in the grand scheme of it all. hope you all have a fab weekend. Same here with under arm pain and only had SNB so dread to think of the pain level you ladies feel with a full clearance. I'm not mardy with pain as a rule but I am close to going to the GP for something to help. Pain killers from the hospital give me really bad constipation (sorry!) so won't take them. I'm lucky only got mine at home and she's nearly 20........my 2 step children live on their own. Plus I have a cleaner so don't have to worry about chores etc. Although they are already realising that we have several fairies at home that do all the picking up, dishwasher emptying and even worse fill the loo rolls up!! I'm glad mine (hubby) has gone back to work today as I'm not good as being fussed around.......its nice being on my own although my mum is on route so peace will be shattered!! I have a bell that says "ring for wine" but I've renamed it "ring for hubby" ......think he's ready for taking the clacker out of it lol.
