Hi I'm waiting for lumpectomy on March 24th was diagnosed in February after routine mammogram, I too hadn't found a lump. I've been told its 1.9 cm & hopefully I won't need chemotherapy but won't know til after the op. It seems ages til my op everyone else seems to have them quickly once they're diagnosed. So in my dark moments I imagine it growing & spreading. I can understand perfectly where you're coming from Aggielou I know even after treatment if I'm told I'm o.k. I shall worry about it coming back & every mammogram will terrify me. Being able to talk to others going through the same is helpful though. Anita x

Like Jobey said I'd have thought you would be sent an app letter by post. I also was sent/given letters that had been sent to my GP but only after I'd seen consultant face to face. Don't panic because yours might be different but definitely get an answer from GP or hospital tomorrow as you can't go on worrying like this. X

I'm not surprised you're annoyed. I was told no news would be given to me over the phone so I'm really surprised a doctor's receptionist was able to do this. I don't like complaining or getting anyone into trouble but once I'd got myself sorted I'd definitely have something to say about this. It's a stressful time as it is waiting for results without what you've been through. I do hope you do get good results or at least some answers tomorrow. Xx

I know how you feel, recently diagnosed myself & waiting for op so can get on with it, get it over with & get on with my life. The forum is helpful as everyone is at different stages of treatment & can give help & advice or just be there when we have our meltdown days. Anita x

Hi Julie, I echo what the others have said. Go back to your Drs or even phone the hospital. I phoned my hospital the other week as I thought my appointment seemed to be delayed & I got an appointment within 48 hrs. Sometimes things do get mislaid or messages don't get through. Anita x

That's funny Eileen my sister in law complained about a paper cut & steroid injection. I really had to bite my tongue & not say ' have you ever had a breast biopsy or breast cancer' but I thought my sarcasm might be lost on her. I've only told close family & a few friends at the moment but have only known a few weeks & haven't started treatment yet so might have to tell more people then.

Thought I was doing ok. Waiting for op which isn't til March 24th & biopsy site still sore & lumpy four weeks on. Plus got pmt bad headache, irritable etc. So have had a bit of a tearful day today, my first one since being diagnosed on Feb 10th. Sorry for winging just feeling a bit sorry for myself. Anita

Hope you've had a good productive day Bloss washing & shopping. Have a lovely meal with hubby Tom. I shall be thinking about you & fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. I've had my first melt down day today & my hubby has suffered me screaming at him that he doesn't understand. I think I've got pmt as have bad headache & feel tired but often now I don't get a period just the symptoms. Still worried about sore lumpy biopsy site & length of wait for op. But all this is trivial with what you're facing in next few days/weeks so just ignore me. All the best Bloss xx

Lol yes will always think of you now when I'm in the wine aisle. Unfortunately I comfort eat when upset, chocolate etc. which has worried me as I've read sugar feeds cancer - now I'm blaming myself for my terrible diet over the years!
